Note:
- the gauge grading is a reference for the values of voltage within the offered range
- the adjustment of voltage influences the welding current.
6) inductance rheostat: to adjust the dynamic characteristic of the power source to the working conditions with
transfer to short circuit.
7) digital amperimeter/voltmeter: to visualise the parameters of welding current and voltage. The value of
parameters are stored and after welding they are kept on the display.

5.2) Back Panel

8) Auxiliary Socket : to connect the control cable of the wire feeder.
9) Circuit breaker : to protect the auxiliary circuits.
10) Feeding cable
6) INSTALLING
6.1) Receiving
When you receive a LAB Source, remove all packaging which involves the equipment and check for
possible damage which could have happened by handling. Any complaints as to damage in shipping
must be reported to the delivery company.
Carefully remove any obstacle to the cooling air which can diminish refrigeration efficiency.
Note: in case a LAB Source is not installed immediately, keep it in the original
packaging or stock it in a dry and well ventilated place.

6.2) Working area

Several facts should be taken into consideration when determining the working place of a welding machine, in
order to have a safe and efficient operation. Adequate ventilation is needed for the refrigeration of the equipment
and for the operator's safety. It's extremely important that the area is kept clean.
It's important to leave a circulation corridor with a width of at least 700 mm around the machine, for its ventilation
and also for operational access, preventive maintenance or occasional corrective maintenance in the working
area.
The installation of any filter device in the environment restricts the air volume available for the machine
refrigeration which can cause overheating to the internal equipment. All guarantee undertakings from the
supplier cease to apply if the customer/user installs any filter device not authorized by the supplier.
6.3) Electric feeding
The electric voltage supply requirements of the LAB Sources are indicated on the nominal board and in the
Tables 4.1 and 6.1 of this manual. They should be fed from an independent electric main of adequate
capacity in order to guarantee their correct performance and also to reduce welding flaws or eventual
damages caused by other equipment such as resistance welding machine, impact crimper, electric
engines, etc.
The electric feeding should be done through an exclusive switch with fuses or circuit breakers dimensioned
