INTRODUCTION

Thank you very much for trusting our brand and buying a Garland product.
This instruction manual has been made to obtain the best performance from this
machine.
Read the instruction manual carefully before you start using the brushcutter. In
case that any problem arises, check with your salesman or with an authorized
technical service.
Specifications could be changed without previous warning.

SAFETY RULES

1. Make sure all the users read this manual carefully before using the brushcutter.
Use this product just to cut grass and small soft vegetal. Do not use it with any
other purpose since it could cause unexpected accidents and you could be
injuered. Do not allow children to use it.
2. When using the brushcutter wear suitable clothes:
a) Wear fit protective clothing(do not wear shorts or baggy clothes).
b) Safety footwear ( do not use sandals or do not use it barefoot).
c) Wear thick protective gloves.
d) Wear goggles or visor. When using a visor make sure to take the protective
film off.
e) Ear protection.
f) Wear head protection when using circular saw blades. Make sure that you
know how to stop the machine and the disc in case of emergency.(read the
section "how to start and stop the engine"). Do not use a brushcutter when
you are fatigued, ill, upset, or if you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs
or medication. Be careful with revolving pieces and hot surfaces of the
machine.
3. Extended use of the machine or other tools with vibrations can cause reduced
hand sensitivity and a temporary numbness can be produced. Hold the
brushcutter with two hands firmly. When working stand in a firm position resting on
your feet. The brushcutter should just be used in the mentioned way (read the
section "safe use").
4. Do not move the brushcutter while the engine is on, even if is a short distance.
Turn the engine off, place the disc cap on and move the unit with the cutting head
behind you. When transporting the brushcutter in a vehicle, hold it to avoid any
