7. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The proper and safe function of the device can be guaranteed only with the use of NOVA-
FON accessories. Read these safety instructions carefully prior to use:
•
Handle the device carefully.
•
Only store the appliance in a clean and dry place at temperatures between + 10 °C
and + 40 °C.
•
Check the unit before each use for signs of damage or wear.
•
In each of the following cases the unit must not be used and must be repaired by
a member of the customer service department:
> If the power cable or plug is damaged
> If the device does not work properly
> If the device is damaged
> If the equipment has obvious safety flaws
•
Use an extension cord if the distance to the socket is greater than 3 metres.
•
Before connecting the unit to the mains check whether the mains voltage
corresponds with the voltage indicated on the transformer. Connect the device
only to the right voltage.
•
Unplug the unit from the mains by pulling out the plug, never pull on the cable.
•
Never leave the unit switched on while unattended.
•
Use the unit and the transformer for a maximum of 20 minutes per application,
leave it to cool for at least 15 minutes afterwards.
•
Do not let the power cable come into contact with hot surfaces.
•
Never use the unit while bathing, showering or in potentially explosive
environments.
•
Never put the unit in water or in other liquids.
•
Never bring the unit into direct contact with cremes, ointments, and cosmetic/
