STEP 3: Locate 230V plug tie-wrapped to motor upper bracket and remove. Install 230V plug
into motor by hand. This can only be installed one way as the timing post inside the motor must
align with the hole through the 230V plug. Turn until you feel it engage post. Rectangular tab will
point toward you once timed. When engaged, use your allen wrench or a screw driver to push plug
until fully seated (timing post will be flush with plug face). *** Caution: do not damage sealing
faces*** keep all parts and sealing surfaces clean – dirt will compromise seal***

STEP 4: Using petrolatum jelly or light petroleum-based oil on seal is recommened before
installation. Insure all parts and seal plate and motor seal faces are clean, then reinstall seal plate/
seal and two 10-24 Screws. Tighten screws to 25-30 in. lb. in an alternating pattern. Make sure seal
plate is completely flat to end bell and that the seal has not been pinched. Remove "wired 460V"
sticker. Motor is ready for installation in 230V 3-phase service.
