Charge the batteries each time the machine has been used for one hour or more or when one (or more) lights are flashing on
the Battery Condition Meter.

Do not fill the batteries past the tops of the plates before charging.
Charge batteries in a well-ventilated area.
Do not smoke while servicing the batteries.

To avoid damage to floor surfaces, wipe water and acid from the top of the batteries after charging.

Check the water level of the batteries at least once a week.
After charging the batteries, remove the vent caps and check the water level in each battery cell. Use distilled water to fill the
batteries to the bottom of the filler tube.

Acid can spill onto the floor if the batteries are overfilled.
Tighten the vent caps. If there is acid on the batteries, wash the tops of the batteries with a solution of baking soda and water
(2 tablespoons of baking soda to 1 quart (1.13 liters) of water).

Once a month, pump grease into each grease fitting on the machine until grease seeps out around the bearings. Grease fittings
locations are:

One on each brush pressure arm (located just above the brush mounting plates).
Apply light machine oil to lubricate the following:
