Thank you for purchasing your intraoral X-ray product
from the SIDEXIS family.
The USB – Box enables digital acquisition of intraoral X-
ray images.
A PC with the SIDEXIS software installed is required to
operate the USB – Box.
In addition to the present documentation, the following
documentation is also required (not part of the delivery).
• Installation of Stand-Alone Systems (to install the
SIDEXIS software).
• SIDEXIS Operator's Manual for software version 5.54
or higher (to work with the SIDEXIS software).
Keep these documents handy at all times (file in the X-
ray logbook in the FR of Germany).
To safeguard your warranty claims, please complete the
attached "Installation Report / Warranty Passport"
together with the service engineer immediately after the
installation of your unit.
The present operating and installation instructions cover
the operation of the USB – Box, the Universal and Full
Size sensors, as well as the installation of the USB – Box
on a PC.
You should familiarize yourself with the product by read-
ing through the operating instructions before taking
patient exposures. Please always observe the valid
radiation protection directives and the safety infor-
mation in these instructions.
These operating instructions are based on the assump-
tion that you are familiar with the SIDEXIS software.
Within the Federal Republic of Germany, the attached
Declaration of Conformity with the Medical Device Direc-
tive must be filled out by the system integrator.
Your SIDEXIS Team
Inspection and maintenance must be performed at pre-
determined intervals to guarantee the health and safety
of all patients, users and third parties and in order to
safeguard the operational and functional reliability of
your product. In accordance with IEC 601-1 (DIN EN
60601-1 etc).
The operator is responsible for making sure that all
inspections and maintenance calls are carried out.
In the event that the operator fails to fulfil the obligation
to carry out inspections and maintenance work or
ignores error messages, Sirona Dental Systems GmbH
and its authorized dealers cannot assume liability for any
damage.
