3. Turn regulator control knob to "OFF" position.
4. Connect disposable propane cylinder.
5. Place a lit wooden match through lighter/ventilation hole on left side panel of grill body to the
burner.
6. While holding match in place, turn regulator control knob to "HIGH" position. Burner will
ignite.
7. When the burner is lit successfully, allow the appliance to pre-heat for 5 minutes before
turning regulator to 'Low' position.
CAUTION:
1. If ignition does not occur in 5 seconds, turn the regulator control knob to "OFF" position, wait
5 minutes and repeat the lighting procedure.
2. If burner flame is accidentally extinguished, open the lid, turn regulator control knob to "OFF"
position, wait 5 minutes. Repeat lighting instructions. If the burner does not ignite with gas
regulator in the high position OR if burner flame is accidentally extinguished after lighting, gas
will continue to flow out of the burner and could accidentally ignite with risk of injury.
With grill on HIGH, handle temperature will be too HOT to touch with bare hands. Use insulated
oven mitts or gloves to handle the grill when hot.
Checking Flame/Burner:
Observe flame height when lit: Flame should be a
blue/yellow color between 1/4 in. - 1/2 in. tall when burner is
on "HIGH". Always check flame prior to each use. A blue
flame with little or no yellow flame provides the best heat.
Cleaning the burner is the best way to avoid yellow flame.
