Activation of self-learning mode of the control unit and memorisation of the new radio
control.
1. On the "old" previously memorised and functional SLIM-R or BUG-R radio control, press and
hold the key of channel 1
2. Press the key for channel 2 three times.
3. Release the keys. The radio control led starts fl ashing to indicate that the self-learning mode
is enabled.
4. Press the key of the channel to be memorised.
5. At this point the control unit confi rms changeover to programming mode by activating the
fl ashing light.
6. Press the radio control key to be memorised again. If programming is successful the fl ashing
light on the control unit turns off and the new radio control is ready to use.
Note: as an alternative, new radio controls can be memorised on the receiver using the
traditional method, i.e. by means of the receiver keys directly (see instructions for the
specifi c receiver).
Practical tips and malfunctions
-
A receiver with self-learning function accepts memorisation of new radio controls only if:
1. The radio control to be memorised is set in the same mode as those already memorised
(Rolling-code or dip-switch);
2. The code memory still has space available;
3. The client code of the radio control to be memorised is the same as those previously
memorised.
4. The new radio control to be memorised does not have the same radio control code as
one already stored in the memory.
-
On initial installation of a receiver with self-learning mode, the memory should be reset.
-
Practical example: in an apartment block, all radio controls are assigned the same client
code, but each radio control must then have a different radio control code. If a created radio
control code is identical to one already in operation, it cannot open the same gate because:
3. If already present in the memory, the receiver will not accept it for memorisation;
4. Even if already present in the memory, the radio control will not function, as the CNT
counter will not be aligned with that already memorised.
-
Therefore all programmed radio controls should be recorded to avoid inadvertent copies in
the future of the same radio control in the same system.
-
If there are diffi culties programming a particular radio control with TAUPROG, check whether
the batteries are completely charged.
ACCESSORIES
1. BUG-R connector
Enables programming of BUG-R radio controls (see chapter "Programming a BUG-R radio
control").
2. Memory reading interface
Enables reading and modifi cations to data in the EEPROM memory installed on the various
receivers, by means of TAUPROG.
