2) General information
The Revac must always be seen in connection with Söll steel wire ropes, straps
and safety harnesses and is subject to the printed work BGR 198 "guidelines for
safety and rescue harnesses" published by the appropriate German authorities.
3) Proper application
Use the REvac with the tripod ref 6-2780 only.
The Revac should only be used in perfect technical order and condition as well
as correctly, according to the safety regulations and considering all dangers and
the operating instructions. Disturbances reducing safety have to be eliminated
immediately.
The Revac protects people working at dangerous places against possible falls
from a height without reducing their freedom of movement. Moreover, it is
equipped with an additional lifting and lowering system. The unit is applicable
whenever it is difficult or almost impossible to rescue a dumped person. The
Revac is conceived for one person and the live load of 100 kg must not be ex-
ceeded.
The manufacturer is not responsible for damages resulting from an improper
application of the fall arrester.
Proper application also means considering the operating instrucions and the
conditions of inspection and maintenance.
