Attach Radiation Damper
Extension to Fan Housing

7. Attach RADIATION DAMPER EXTENSION (A) to the fan
housing. Make sure WIRE HARNESS (B) is positioned
above 7/8" diameter ELECTRICAL ACCESS HOLES (C).
8. Use (4) #8 x 3/8" SHEET METAL SCREWS (D) and 4
SHEET METAL NUTS (E) supplied in radiation damper parts
bag.

Prepare Ceiling Structure for Fan
Housing
This radiation Damper and Fan Combination is UL/ cUL Listed
for use in the following Floor Ceiling and Roof Ceiling Assem-
blies: L521, L528, L546, L558, L562, L574, L576, L581, L583,
L585, P522, P533, P538, P545, and P547.
CAUTION
• DO NOT attach fan directly to
combustible truss members. Attach fan to
additional vertical 2x4 blocks, as shown.
9. Install and securely fasten 2 x 4 wooden vertical blocks to
truss members as shown.
10. Lift housing assembly into position and center between verti-
cal blocks.
11. Make sure lower edge of radiation damper is FLUSH WITH
INTERIOR SIDE OF FINISHED CEILING.
12. Nail or screw mounting support brackets to (4) vertical
blocks.
