CONNECTION OF THE DISCHARGE PIPEWORK
7b
1 - Use the elbow and the stepped sleeve
2 - Insert the sleeve on the elbow. Fix it in place with a
collar
.
D
3 - Orient the assembly as required and push it well into
the black rubber pipe 7 . Fix the base of the elbow in
place with a collar
4 - Cut off the end of the sleeve, if necessary, to suit the
diameter of the discharge pipe and use a collar
®
5 - We advise installing a drain valve at the low point to
facilitate maintenance.
6 - To avoid siphoning, fit an anti-syphon valve (capable of
withstanding about 10 psi pressure) at the high point, or
increase the diameter of the horizontal pipe.
• All horizontal piperuns require a 1:100 fall.
• If a vertical lift is required, this must be installed at the
start of piperun and a 1:100 fall given to the pipe from
the high point to the drain.
• All bends should be smooth/slow (eg pulled bens or
2 x 45 degree bends together). Do not use 90° elbows.
• If the horizontal piperun exceeds about 10 metres, increase
the size from 22 mm to 32 mm from that point onwards.
CONNECTION OF THE OTHER SANITARY APPLIANCES
7c
1 - To connect to the side entries of the case, use the
rubber connector
2 - Plug the unused inlet with blanking plug

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
7g
The electrical installation should be carried by a
qualified person and conform to BS 7671 1992

The unit requires a 220/240V single phase AC 50 Hz supply
(UK specification). Do not connect the unit to a conventio-
nal plug and socket.
The unit should be connected to a fully earthed electrical
supply (class 1). It must be wired into an unswitched fused
fixed wiring connector protected by a 5 amp fuse and a
residual current detector (10 A minimum). This connection
must be used exclusively for supplying the unit.
The unit should be sited at least 60 cm away from any
shower tray.
