Safe and efficient working is only possible with a
correctly sharpened and intact cutting blade.
Therefore, check the cutting blade for dull edges, bents, cracks
or other damages on a regular basis.
Have dull cutting blades sharpened by a specialist/service
workshop.
Both sides of the cutting blade may be used. Turn round
the cutting blade once and continue to work with the
brushcutter until both sides of the cutting blade are dull-edged.
Replace damaged cutting blades by new ones.

Readjust the sliding play if cut material is clamped between the
blades or the play has increased due to normal wearing of the
cutting device after a longer period of use.
To obtain good cutting results the free motion between the
blades and the sword must be correctly adjusted.
For this proceed as follows:
Loosen the nuts (E) on the top surface of the cutting
device.
Slightly tighten the screws (F) on the underside (if required
loosen them previously).
Turn the screw back anticlockwisely by a quarter up to a
half turn.
Use a screwdriver to hold the screw and firmly tighten the
nuts.
The sliding play is correctly adjusted if the washer
under the screw head can just be freely moved back and
forth by hand.
Lubricate the cutting device using environmental-
compatible lubricating oil.
If the play is too small or insufficient lubrication, this
may cause a great extent of heating and thus damage to
the product.

The chain lubrication is factory-set. Depending on the type of
wood and working techniques the amount of oil may vary and
has to be corrected.
Adjust the chain lubrication using the
adjusting screw (l) which is located below the
product.
Anticlockwise turning large amount of oil (MAX)
Clockwise turning small amount of oil (MIN)
The chain lubrication is correctly adjusted when the
saw chain throws off small amounts of oil during
operation.
