Testing the alarm
After setting the device parameters, if necessary a test for a correct alarm
should be carried out.
As an example, an alarm via the Aux
on page

This contact, described as the tamper input, is particularly suitable for this,
because an alarm is given regardless of the arming/disarming of the
device. This input can be parameterised as a "Normally opened" contact
or a "Normally closed" contact (standard: normally opened).
Take the relevant transmission routes into operation.

Check the dial-up number(s) for alarms:

numbers (if necessary to your receiver PC or to the control station) (see
"Parameter settings for the device" on page
Ensure that the device is not in the alarm status.

Close the connection from Aux
■
for at least 500 ms.
Check to see whether the alarm is correctly sent to your receiver PC or to

the control station.
CamControl
LITE should report "Online/Tamper alarm" in the status line
bottom right in this case:
If the general alarm control input or camera-specific control inputs need to
be checked, ensure without fail that the device has been armed
beforehand.
