3.2 Preparing for inhalation

• Assemble the nebuliser you are using.
• Fill the nebuliser with the medication.
To do this, follow the instructions for use of the nebuliser you are
using.
• Attach the PARI Filter/Valve Set to the nebuliser.
• Attach the mouthpiece or baby mask to the free end of the
PARI Filter/Valve Set.
NOTE
With the PARI Filter/Valve Set, only the mouthpiece that is
supplied with the set must be used, and an expiratory valve
must not be used; or a mask without a valve system must be
used. If a mouthpiece or mask is used with an expiratory valve,
the PARI Filter/Valve Set will be completely ineffective.
• Attach the inspiratory valve (7) to the nebuliser if necessary
(not necessary if you are using a nebuliser with built-in inspir-
atory valve, e.g., PARI LC SPRINT).
