Routethe free end of the oil drain hosetowardan appropriateoil
collectioncontainerwith at leasta 2.5 quartcapacity,to collect
the usedoil. Removethe oil fill cap/dipstickfromthe oil fill tube.
Whileholdingthe free end of theoil drain hoseoverthe oil collec-
tion container,unscrewthe square-headhoseplug fromthe end
of the hose. See Figure16.Drainthe engineoil intothe collection
container.

After drainingtheoil, wipe anyresidualoil from theoil drain hose.
Threadthe squarehead pluginto thedrain hosefitting and fully
tightenthe plug.
Usedoil is a hazardous wasteproduct.Disposeof usedoil properly.
Donot discardwith householdwaste.Checkwith yourlocalauthori-
ties or or contact 1-800-4-MY-HOME for a list of safedisposal/
recyclingfacilities.
If theengine hasbeen recentlyrun,the engine,mufflerand sur-
roundingmetal surfaceswill be hotand can causeburnsto the skin.
Exercisecautionto avoidburns.
Tocompletean oil change,proceedas follows:
1.
Withengine OFF butstill warm,disconnectspark plugwire and
keepit awayfrom spark plug.
