Replacing
the Deck Belt

Followthe instructionsfor removingthedeck.
2.
Unscrew thewingnutsfromthedeckcoversand remove bothcovers.
3.
Usinga 3/8" socketbreakerbar or socketratchetinsertthedrive
end intothe 3/8" squareopeningin the loweridler arm assembly
and pushthe idlerarmcounterclockwise. S ee Figure38.While
holdingthe idlerarm back,loosen thedeck beltfrom the pulley
and slidethe belt awayfromthe pulley.

Removethe bladedrive beltfrom all the pulleys.
Reversethe processto install the belt. See Figure39 for proper
belt routing.
