and place it in 70% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol for
several minutes. Make sure the cap is completely
dry before reattaching it to the device.

Storing Your System

Prodigy
meters do not require special

maintenance.
• Store the meter, test strips and control
solution in the carrying case after each use in
a cool, dry place.
• Do not refrigerate.
• Do not store in the kitchen or bathroom.

handle it with care.

Battery

The Prodigy Pocket® meter comes with one (1)
CR2032 lithium battery. Batteries are manufactured
in a charged state and not designed for recharging.
Recharging the battery can cause battery leakage,
or in some cases, high pressure rupture.
Warning: Batteries can explode or leak
and cause burns if installed backwards,
disassembled, charged or exposed to water,
fire or high temperatures.

Low Battery

The meter will alert you when the power is getting
low by displaying two (2) different messages:
1. When the "
