Place the main axis of the jack(s) always in the directing of lifting to prevent skew loads on the lifting
toe and guides. The toe jack can be used in any position. The stable guides can absorb high
transverse loads but the jack may tilt or the guides may seize up if the allowable load is exceeded.
Remove the carrying bracket temporarily if the top lifting position is used.
Lift a load with the lifting toe in its top position is allowed only if the perfect parallel alignment
between the steel or concrete base and the load is ensured. The top section of the guides may be
forced apart due to transverse loads.
Lift a load with one or more toe jacks may result in guide edge stress and skew loading.
Lift a load as parallel as possible. High edge stresses result in distortion of the guides.
6.3.2
Lifting
Position the control valve handle on the pump in such a way that the plunger is extended and the
objects are lifted away from each other.
Prevent damage to the tool and watch what the load is doing.
WARNING
Lift carefully and make sure that the load is propped up at all times.
Lift the load step-by-step if two jacks are used.
6.3.3
Lowering
Position the control valve handle on the pump in such a way that the plunger is retracted and the
objects are moving towards each other.

After use

6.4.1
Shut down and disconnect
Retract the plunger into the cylinder by setting the control valve handle on the pump in the release
position. Leave the plunger opened with 5 mm minimum.
Disconnect the hydraulic hose(s) from the tool and the pump. Refer to chapter 5.
6.4.2
Inspection
Check the tool for completeness, leaks and damage. Do not use the tool if it leaks or is damaged
and contact the Holmatro dealer.
6.4.3
Cleaning and storage
Clean the tool and any accessories before storage.
Clean the couplers and dust caps. Make sure the dust caps are installed.
Dry the tool if it was used in wet conditions. For long-term storage, apply a thin coat of preservative
oil to the external steel parts.
Store the tool in a dry and well-ventilated area.
