DALIeco Control
Activating the alternative function / push-button allocation of the push-button coupler
1.
Start the programming mode via LP on "Prog" button (5) on the remote control
2.
Activate Sensor Select via LP on push-button (10) on the remote control
3.
Actuate any of the push-buttons connected to the push-button coupler
4.
The lighting dims to 10% brightness, thus indicating that the confi guration process has begun
5.
The process is complete after approx. 1 minute (depending on the number of couplers)
and the lighting fl ashes twice in confi rmation
Resetting the push-button coupler to basic setting
1.
Start the programming mode via LP on "Prog" button (5) on the remote control
2.
Activate Sensor Select via push-button (10) on the remote control
3.
Actuate any of the push-buttons connected to the push-button coupler for more than 10 secs.
4.
The lighting dims to 10% brightness, thus indicating that the reset process has begun
After the reset process is complete, the lighting briefl y switches to 100% and then the original
value is set again.
2.7.2 Integrating sensors via the DALI line
Sensors can be connected to the DALI line via the sensor coupler without additional
commissioning and allow extension of the motion detection range.
The light values of these sensors are not evaluated.
i
Important note:
For confi guration of the control using infrared remote control, at least one sensor must
be connected to the sensor interface on the control unit.
Important note:
i
The daylight adjustment uses exclusively the light values of the sensors connected to
the sensor interface.
2.8 Synchronizing control units
To expand systems and to implement the central on/off switching of several control units, up to 8
control units can be synchronized via a 2-wire connection.
Via this synchronization line, signals are exchanged from motion sensors and button press
signals of push-buttons connected via pushbutton coupler to inputs C and D. The response upon
reception of the motion signals or push-button actuation signals depends on the selected operat-
ing mode. There is a differentiation made among three possible cases:
(1) Operating mode without standby condition (single offi ce)
•
When movement signals are received via the sync. cable, the control unit switches to the ON
condition and starts the shutoff delay time, or resets the shutoff delay timer if the control unit
is already in the ON condition.
•
When a push-button on pushbutton coupler input C is pressed, the control unit switches
to the ON condition and initiates the delay time or resets the delay time if the control unit is
already in the ON condition.

•
If a push-button on pushbutton coupler input D is pressed, the control unit switches to the
OFF condition or the control unit remains in the OFF condition.
(2) Operating mode with fi nite standby condition
(open plan offi ce/washroom/staircase)
•
If movement signals are received via the sync. cable, the control unit switches from ON
to STANDBY and starts the Standby timer, or resets it if the control unit is already in the
STANDBY condition.
•
When a push-button on pushbutton coupler input 3 is pressed, the control unit switches to
the ON condition and initiates the delay time or resets the delay time if the control unit is
already in the ON condition.
•
If a push-button on pushbutton coupler input 4 is pressed, the control unit switches to the
OFF condition or the control unit remains in the OFF condition.
(3) Operating mode with permanent standby condition (hallway)
•
If movement signals are received via the sync. cable, the control unit switches to ON and
starts the shutoff delay timer, or resets it if the control unit is already ON.
•
When a push-button on pushbutton coupler input C is pressed, the control unit switches
to the ON condition and initiates the delay time or resets the delay time if the control unit is
already in the ON condition.
•
If a push-button on pushbutton coupler input D is pressed, the control unit switches to the
STANDBY condition or the control unit remains in the STANDBY condition.

Supplementary information:
Motion signals are transferred directly to control units or transferred via the DALI line of
connected sensors.
The transmission of push-button signals operates independently of whether the cor-
responding pushbutton coupler is connected to DALI channel 1 or 2.
If motion detection is set to semi-automatic or if "Holiday mode" is active, the control
units in the OFF condition do not respond to the receipt of motion signals via the syn-
chronization line.
If motion detection is deactivated, the control units do not respond to the receipt of
motion signals and do not send any motion signals via the synchronization line.
If the test function is active for testing the detection range of the sensors, the specifi c
control unit does not transfer any motion signals to the synchronization line and does
not respond to synchronization signals.
The activation of push-buttons connected to push-button input C or D of a push-button input
or corresponding signals on the synchronization line do not terminate the "Holiday mode".
Events caused by the activation of push-buttons connected directly to control units or
push-buttons connected at input A or B of a pushbutton coupler, as well as user opera-
tions of the user remote, are not transmitted via the synchronization line.
If a STANDBY 2 condition is programmed with the PC software (see software instructions),
this STANDBY condition will be valid in the description of the synchronization function.
