IMPORTANT: The instruction manual you are holding includes essential information on the safety measures to be
implemented for installation and start-up. Therefore, the installer as well as the user must read the instructions before
beginning installation and start-up.
Keep this manual for future reference.
To achieve optimum performance of the DMX Touchscreen, follow the instructions provided below:
1. VERIFY THE CONTENTS OF THE PACKING
The following accessories are included inside the box:
DMX Touchscreen
Installation manual and User guide.
The people responsible for the assembly should have the required qualification for these types of jobs.
In case the mains lead happens to be damaged, it should be replaced exclusively by the manufacturer or the technical service, or
by a person with similar qualification to avoid possible danger.
Direct contact with the electric power should be avoided.
Current regulations regarding the prevention of accidents should be respected.
For that purpose, the IEC 364-7-702 standards should be complied with: ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS IN BUILDINGS.
SPECIAL INSTALLATIONS. POOLS.
Any maintenance operation or replacement of spare parts should be performed with the DMX mains lead disconnected from the
grid.
On no account shall the manufacturer be liable for the assembly, installation or start-up, or any handling or incorporation of
electric components that have not been carried out in the facilities.

2. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS

· The device has been designed to be installed indoors, never outside. It has to be supplied with 230Vac (50Hz). The touch screen
generates the DMX output signal (3 wires).
· The devices connected to the touch screen should comply with the DMX512 protocol.
· The DMX touch screen device can control up to 30 DMX channels, 10 zones with 3 DMX channels per zone.
· The 1st DMX channel corresponds to the red colour of the first zone, channel 2 to the green colour of the first zone, the 3rd to the
blue colour of the first zone, the 4th to the red colour of the second zone, the 5th to the green colour of the second zone the 6th to
the blue colour of the second zone This combination is repeated in each zone.

3. ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION

Before handling any part, be sure that the cables are NOT live!!
Installation recommendations
Install the screen 1.5m above the floor (see FIG. 1).
To fasten the screen to the wall (see FIG 5).
There are two types of installations:
1.
Recessed Touchscreen, see FIG 2 and FIG 3.
2.
Non-recessed Touchscreen, see FIG 4.
The DMX screen (51297) is connected with all the DMX devices with a 3 wires-cable (DMX512).
It is advisable to install the DMX bus separate from the electric cables and other possible interference. The maximum length of the
DMX bus is approximately 100m, although it varies according to the conditions of each installation. For adverse conditions, such as
greater lengths or junctions in the line, it will be necessary to install repeaters (splitter) (code 41645). The DMX signal is transmitted
from equipment to equipment through a "daisy chain" type connection, where the equipment is connected in series.
It is not possible to connect more than one DMX controller in the same DMX bus. The DMX cable should be adequate for this type of
signal: shielded twisted pair with nominal impedance of 120 ohms (80 – 150) and low capacitance, with a minimum thickness of 24
AWG.
