Optimum distance from the subject and zooming level

The distance at which you can obtain movies with a deep, 3-dimensional appearance
varies depending on the zooming level.
Adjust the zooming level with the power zoom lever.
Distance from the subject
about 80 cm to 6 m
(3 ft. to 20 ft.)
about 2.5 m to 10 m
(8 ft. to 32 ft.)
about 7.5 m to 20 m
(25 ft. to 65 ft.)

Adjusting the 3-dimensional appearance of the image during recording

[3D Depth Adjustment] is assigned to the MANUAL dial as the default setting. You can
adjust the depth of 3D images by operating the MANUAL dial.

 Press MANUAL.
 Rotate the MANUAL dial to adjust the depth of the image on the screen.
If you press MANUAL for several seconds, you can assign another menu item to the MANUAL dial.
