Replacing the lens

Replacing the lens on the models such as VPL-V500Q/QM, W400Q/QM

Turn off the MAIN POWER switch of the projector.

Remove the four screws (3 x 8 mm) on the top panel with
a Phillips-head screw driver.

Disconnect the connector of cable (1 plug) running
between the top panel and the circuit board C of the
projector and remove the top panel.

Remove the shield case lid.
Remove the cable harness and remove all the plugs from
their connectors in the circuit board (7 plugs in the VPL-
V500Q/QM; 8 plugs in the VPL-W400Q/QM). Also
remove the three LCD panel flexible cables from their
connectors.

Do not touch a tip of the felxible cable.
