• Do not direct the steam jet at electrical equipment or the appliance itself.
• Do not direct the steam jet at people, pets or pile of debris .
• Never place your hands or any body parts in the steam jet.
• Do not use to treat clothes being worn on the body.
• Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
• Do not wind the power cable around the appliance, especially when the appliance is still hot.
Always use the cord hooks when storing the power cord.
• Care should be used to arrange the cord so as not to trip over it during use. Safely put in storage
after each use to prevent tripping accidents.
• Steam through the brush will cause it to get hot. Avoid contact with hot areas.
• If the appliance has been dropped, damaged, or immersed in water, or leaks, do not use and
contact the customer care team as the internal safety features may have been affected.
• In case of breakdown or malfunction unplug the appliance and never attempt to disassemble it, but
contact the customer care team.
• This appliance is equipped with safety devices which are to be replaced only by a qualified
technician.
• Let the appliance cool down before cleaning it or carrying out any maintenance.
• Before storing the appliance make sure that it has completely cooled down.
• Use 100% distilled water.
IMPORTANT: The use of tap water is possible provided you replace the filter every 30 refills of the
water tank.
• Never use water from clothes dryers, scented water, water from refrigerators, batteries or air
conditioners or rain water.
• For best results, use original Polti accessories only, as products from other brands may not be
suitable for use in Polti appliances and could cause damage.
• Press the buttons only with a finger, without excessive force and avoid using pointed objects such
as a pen or a screwdriver.
• To avoid compromising the safety of the appliance use only original spare parts.
• Do not place the hot appliance on heat-sensitive surfaces. For temporary storage while in use,
please use the rubber mat stand. Use the rubber mat when storing your appliance.
• On surfaces that have been treated with wax, the wax may be removed by the heat and steam
action.
• Do not use on unsealed wood floors or let unit stand on any wood floor for an extended period of
time. This could cause the wood grain to rise.
• Use extra caution when using on vinyl, linoleum or any other heat-sensitive floors.
• Too much heat can melt down glue in the flooring. It is therefore recommended that a sample
cleansing be carried out on an isolated area of the floor. It is also recommended that you check the
use and care instructions of the surface from the floor manufacturer to ensure suitability to steam
cleaning.
