3.3 Installation recommendations

The building in which the product is used might reduce the radio range. This range is:
X = 40 m in open space
Caution! The use of a radio appliance (e.g. Hi-Fi radio headphones)
operating on the same frequency may cause interference and be
detrimental to the product's performance.
Note: The Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp must be installed in a location
sheltered from bad weather, and out of the reach of children.
-
Never use the Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp near metal surfaces.
Metal surfaces may reduce the radio range.
-
Check the radio range before fitting the Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp.
-
The radio range may be limited by radio appliance control standards.
-
If the device is installed outdoors, ensure the lighting is not directed upwards.

3.4 Safety distances

• Minimum distance (Y) between a Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp
and a radio control point:
Y = 30 cm
Minimum distance (Z) between two Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp
units: Z = 20 cm.

3.5 Fitting the Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp

Caution! Before installing any Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp, ensure the
safety distances listed in the "Safety distances" section are observed.
The Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp has a ridge on the back for attaching
the pivoting mountings. These allow the Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp to
be tilted to a maximum of 90°.
Note: An extra 15° movement is also possible for each of the 5 lamps.
3.5.1 Fitting accessories to the wall/ceiling/awning case
1) Drill three 6 mm diameter holes spaced approximately 1 m from each
other in order to fix the Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp (a).
2)
Insert the plugs (f) in the holes, using a hammer if necessary.
3)
Press the support bases (b) against the wall/ceiling/awning case at
the holes, and attach using the screws (g).
-
When mounting to an awning case, attach the support bases directly
(b) using an M5 nut and bolt system (not supplied).
Caution! The bolt and nut system must not touch the awning fabric.
Risk of tearing.
3.5.2 Fitting accessories to the Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp
1) Slide the "T" brackets (d) along the ridge on the back of the Lighting
Modulis RTS Ramp (a).
2)
Close the Lighting Modulis RTS Ramp using the plastic cover (i)
supplied separately.
3)
Screw the pivoting mountings (c) into the thread of the "T"
brackets (d).
Caution! Do not fully tighten the pivoting mountings (c) to the "T"
brackets (b) so that these can be slid along the ridge.
