12. When a guard trac™ or guard trac™ plus
guardrail has undergone the fall of an
operator, all parts of the guardrail must be
checked before returning the guardrail to
service. This check shall be conducted in
accordance with the instructions in this
manual, by a person trained for such a
purpose. Components or non-reusable
items should be discarded and replaced in
accordance with the instruction manuals
supplied by the manufacturers of these
components or items.

"Manager": Person or department responsible
for the management and safe use of the product
described in the manual.
"Technician": Qualified person in charge of the
maintenance operations
permitted by the user manual, who is skilled in

3. Product description

The guard trac™ or guard trac™ plus guardrail is
composed of an aluminium barrier with a
reinforced concrete counterweight installed on a
flat or inclined surface to prevent people from
falling off. The guard trac™ plus guardrail can
also be used to cordon off a dangerous area (e.g.
around a machine). All installation areas must be
cordoned off with a 150 mm minimum high
parapet. The guard trac™ or guard trac™ plus
guardrail is fast and easy to install. One of the
main advantages of this equipment is that it can
be carried by hand in separate parts, and the
entire guardrail is made of parts with a total
weight of less than 25 kg.

self-standing and can therefore be set up on roof
or terrace without drilling the roof cover, which
reduces the risk of leaks and the need for
