► HELMET AND HEADGEAR ASSEMBLY
1. Insert the headgear (D) into the helmet shell (B) as shown in figure 1. Push the screws
(A) through the openings in the helmet shell. Engage the small tilt positioning pins into
the desired tilt positioning holes in the shell.
2. Tighten a headgear nut (C) onto each screw.
3. Adjust the headgear to optimize comfort and fit.
a.   A djust the length of the top strap so the headgear rests at a comfortable position
around your head.
b.   A djust the range of tilt of the helmet by adjusting holes the pins engage.
c.   A djust the distance of the helmet from the face by loosening the headgear
nuts so the hinge mechanisms can be moved forward or backward along the
headgear to the desired position. Then re-tighten the headgear nuts.
The headgear is equipped with a replaceable sweatband. Sweatbands are available
through your local dealer.
► HELMET AND HARD HAT ASSEMBLY
B.1
Figure
If you have purchased the welding helmet in combination with hard hat, a two part
(left and right) hard hat adaptor will be replacing the standard headgear. Each
of the two hard hat adaptor parts are clearly marked with L (left) and R (right) on
the main body. Please choose the right one for each side.
1. While pressing the screw with your index finger, loosen the nut, as shown on figure 1.
2. Push the screw through rectangular opening in the helmet shell, while still holding the
screw. Put the pin for the tilt adjustment in one of the three holes in the helmet shell.
Choose the right tilt adjustment hole for your maximum comfort (2.).
3. Tighten the nut on the screw (3.).
4. Repeat the assembly of the hard hat adaptor on the opposite side of the helmet.
5. Insert the wedges of the hard hat adaptor into the hard hat slots. Make sure that the lower
latches of the hard hat adaptor have stuck over the edges of the hard hat (5.).
6. The headgear of the hard hat can be adjusted by turning the rear wheel in order to fit any
head size. Press the wheel and hold it while turning, release the wheel when reaching the
position of maximum comfort, so that it will lock in the required position (6.).
7. The two springs of the hard hat adaptor hold the helmet in two extreme positions: up
and down (7.).
Hard hat's headgear is equipped with a replaceable sweatband. Sweatbands are
available through your local dealer.
► AUTODARKENING WELDING FILTER AND PROTECTION
SCREENS ASSEMBLY
1. Slide in the inner protection screen on the inner side of the autodarkening welding filter
as shown in figure (1.).
2. Gently fold the printed circuit board of the external control behind the filter so that it is
positioned inside the helmet shell before you insert the filter in its opening. Begin by
inserting the filter at the bottom, so that it clicks in the bottom clip (2.a); then push in the
top part so that it clicks into the top clip (2.b).
3. Insert the external protection screen into external frame (3.a). Take the frame that holds
protection screen in place and push it in so that pins on the side clip into groves (3.b).
4. Close the helmet shell with the external frame. Insert the bottom two pins in the bottom
two openings of the helmet shell and push the top part of the frame into the helmet shell
so that the two upper pins click in the pin openings on both sides (2x click) (4.).
5. Carefully push the outer part of the external controls housing with electronic board
through the side opening of the helmet (5.a). Place it to the correct position by first
inserting the part with the batteries pressed on the inner side of the helmet (5.b). The
batteries stay slightly slanted against the helmet.4
