7. COMPULSORY ROOM VENTILATION WHEN USING THE
STOVE
Make sure the room is sufficiently ventilated with fresh air. An additional 50 m³ of
air is required every hour, over and above the normal room ventilation requirement.
Ventilation openings must be near the floor. Choose the location carefully. The
ventilation openings must not be blocked (neither inside nor outside).
Ensure that there is an opening for fresh air in the room with a section of at least
a quarter of the exhaust pipe section, with a minimum of 100 cm².
If the stove is located in rooms with mechanical ventilation, the following guide-

Always ensure that the combustion air duct can draw clean air from the
outside.
The stove cannot be used if an air suction system, a hot air heating sys-
tem or other appliances that affect the air pressure in the room, are used.
Such equipment must be disconnected.

Never install the unit or carry out maintenance work on it if it is plugged
into the mains socket. Always make sure that the stove is disconnected
from the mains!
When it comes to the final positioning of the stove, make sure that the floor is
sufficiently solid in order to support its weight. Please note: the weight of the
stove is divided across the four support feet. If necessary, reinforce the floor.
Adjust the support feet to level the horizontal positioning of the stove. Use
a spirit level to do this. Make sure that all four feet sit on the floor with the
same force.
When positioning the stove, take into consideration a free distance between
the stove and the walls or other obstacles as indicated in figure 7. If the walls
or objects around the stove are made of flammable materials, make sure
that they do not exceed 60° C when the stove is at maximum. If in doubt, fit
a flame-retardant protection plate on the walls or move the objects.
