For light garden waste, such as hedge
clippings or small branches with lots of
leaves, use the compactor to push the waste
down into the feed hopper.
Allow the garden shredder to work through
the waste before putting more into the feed
hopper.
The garden shredder has a built-in safety
device that automatically cuts the power to
the motor if it becomes overloaded, or if the
blades are blocked for 5 seconds.
If this occurs, turn off the power, unplug
the garden shredder, loosen the lock knob,
remove the feed hopper and remove the
blockage. Allow the motor to cool for a few
minutes.
Press the reset button (9) and then press the
on/off button to restart the garden shredder.
Cleaning and maintenance
Unplug the garden shredder.
Clean immediately after every use. The
garden shredder must not be rinsed or the
inside and outside cleaned with water in any
other way.

Loosen the nger screw (10). Tilt the feed
hopper downwards and brush off any plant
residues from the blades and blade holder
with a stiff , plastic brush. Make sure not to

discharge chute.
Remove any dirt from the vents on the
motor.
Wipe the garden shredder casing with a well-
wrung cloth.
Store in a dry, frost-free location.
Replacing the blades
The blades are sharp on both sides, so they
can be turned when they become worn.
Insert a screwdriver (A) into the groove
on the blade holder so that it cannot turn
around.
Use an Allen key (B) to loosen the hexagonal
screws (C) holding the blades in place.

Carefully lift the blades (D) off and turn them
180 degrees. Carefully screw the blades
securely in place again.
If the blades have already been turned once,
they need to be sharpened by a professional
or replaced with a new set of blades with the
same speci cations as the originals
It is very important that the blades are in
perfect balance, as there may be vibrations
that could damage the garden shredder
otherwise.
