6.2 WIRING DIAGRAMS AND LAYOUT
CONNECTION TO THE ELECTRICAL MAINS - device in class II (DIAGRAMS 1 AND 2)
Connection to the mains supply must be carried out in accordance with National Standards, positioning the ferrite provided as illustrated (see
diagrams) and using an appropriate resealable terminal board. The ends of the cable conductors must not be strengthened with soft soldering at
the points in which the conductors are subject to contact pressure. The wire must be blocked by tightening the screws in order to prevent it from
becoming detached accidentally. The connection to the electrical mains must provide for an easily accessible bipolar isolating device with a
distance of at least 3mm between the contacts; or it must end with a standard plug which can be inserted into a socket. Perform any necessary
tests only with the battery, which must be charged. Once connections have been completed, close internal cover, close the control unit and only
then activate the isolating device or connect the plug into the socket.
Attention! Always disconnect the 230V mains power supply before intervening on the control unit.
6.2.1) TERMINAL BOARD (DIAGRAM 3)
SPK
positive additional 8 Ohm speaker output for messages from the control unit
+ALI
positive 12V DC max 500mA power supply for wired detectors
+OFF
positive present with disarmed control unit – wired siren blocking command
GND (all)
earth
+SIR
positive 12V max 500mA in alarm for additional sirens
+SAA
positive 14V for sirens power supply wired with own internal battery. Note: absent with no 230V.
+N
falling positive for alarm command for wired sirens.
Attention! If 2 or more sirens are connected it is mandatory to insert 2 or more diodes on the clamp to prevent return
signals. Attention! Never use this output for siren power supply

KEY ON-OFF input for external key (closed = OFF)
NC1-C1-NO1
Free switch output relay R1 – connect only to circuits with SELV voltage (extremely low safety voltage)
NC2-C2-NO2
Free switch output relay R2 – connect only to circuits with SELV voltage (extremely low safety voltage)

PSTN line connection
Input for PC
connector for Silentron cable connection to PC
Notes:
1) The alarm and tamper inputs operate Normally Closed and become active at first closure. Therefore if closed accidentally they will indicate
the line open status. To cancel the signal, go to TEST and then exit.
2) The TMP inputs (tamper) must be programmed on the same zone groups as the relative detectors.
6.3 - Model 5501 SILENYA HT Free GSM (DIAGRAM 5)- Model 5503 SILENYA HT Free – TECHNICAL FEATURES
Note: the 5503 model does not have a GSM module and therefore does not feature GSM functions.
Power supply:
Alkaline battery pack code 861010 (9V 12Ah)
Consumption :
180 - 220uA in stand-by - max 400mA in alarm with GSM in operation - max 200mA with PSTN in operation
Autonomy :
theoretical with 2 armings/disarmings per day and max 10 detectors 10 alarms/year over 2 years.
Attention! Autonomy considerably decreases in the case of numerous alarms and/or telephone calls and/or operations.
and/or when the system includes more than 10 detectors
Alarm inputs:
up to 99 immediate, delayed or AND programmable detectors on the 3 alarm zone groups A-B-C (only via radio)
on the 24-hour zone groups Panic, Robbery, Technical alarm.
Anti-tampering:
reception of the tampering signal from each individual detector (via radio) - reception of "operating status" signals and
flat battery signals (SUPERVISION) - protection against opening/removal of control unit
Alarm outputs:
72-bit codified digital transmissions per "alarm" - "outside alarm" - "full
"disarming" + 16 manageable coded commands
RF noises:
continuous, simultaneous or programmable control of the two working frequencies
Events memory:
last 200 events (new ones substitute the old ones)
Timed operations: programmable delayed arming - programmable on every detector -alarm time 3 minutes fixed
Displays:
display 2 x 16 characters, with possibility of naming each single peripheral
Commands:
20-key alphanumeric keypad
Indoor siren:
106 db alarm siren + buzzer for low intensity signal
Acoustic signals: vocal communications to the user and vocal messages for installation guide (with 30029 board)
RF emission:
simultaneous DualBand frequency – factory programmed digital codes with self-learning
ability from microprocessor – frequency and power in accordance with the law.
Radio range:
100m in open air and without any background noise on the band – range cover can be greatly reduced
in indoor use due to the position of the devices in relation to the building structure.
Wired connection: PSTN line connection (also ADSL)
Telephone part:
PSTN :
connection with duplex cable and standard plug- self-adaptation of the features of the line in the country of use
through language change. Telephone book with 64 programmable numbers, 6 pre-recordable vocal messages.
GSM (5500)
GSM Telit tetraband module with antenna. Telephone book, vocal messages management as above and SMS (6+11)
