- The installation and replacement of lamp sockets, starting-switch holders, starting switches,
tubes and fuses must be carried out by qualified personnel.
- Never leave a lamp socket without its lamp, as some of the parts may be live; therefore
disconnect the electricity before replacing the lamp.
- The fluorescent lamps which are exhausted or about to be exhausted must be promptly
replaced, since their malfunction can cause overheating in the lamp socket or starting-switch
holder.
- In the case where the lamp sockets show obvious deterioration, have them replaced and
checked to find out the cause of the faults which may have produce the damage.
