For contouring, finishing, and/or polishing, follow the manufacturer's Directions for Use.
All shades of Neo Spectra™ ST flow composite restorative are radio-opaque, with a 1 mm radio-
opacity equivalent to 1.8 mm radio-opacity of aluminum. Aluminum has a radio-opacity equivalent
to that of dentin. Thus 1 mm of material having a radio-opacity equivalent to 1 mm of aluminum has
a radio-opacity equivalent to that of dentin.
3.2 Cementation of light transmissible indirect restorations
I. Following removal of the temporary restoration and any remaining temporary cement, clean
enamel and dentin as directed by the adhesive manufacturer's directions.
II. Check the fit and esthetics of the restoration. Technique Tip: Occlusal adjustment of veneers and
onlays is best accomplished after final cementation.
3.2.1 Treatment of the restoration
Ceramic/Composite Restorations
Follow the dental laboratory or restoration manufacturer's instructions for pre-treatment, if required.
Restorations designed to be silanated or if the internal silanated surface has been disturbed during
try-in, apply Calibra
instructions.
3.2.2 Tooth conditioning/dentin pre-treatment/adhesive application
1. Proceed with adhesive application as directed in the complete Directions for Use.
Delayed or reduced adhesion.
Adhesive incompatibility.
1. Select compatible light cure adhesive.
2. Follow selected adhesive Directions for Use.
2. Always refer to and follow adhesive manufacturer's complete Directions for Use for selection and
application of the appropriate light cure adhesive. Once the surfaces have been properly treated,
they must be kept uncontaminated. Proceed immediately following adhesive application to ce-
mentation with Neo Spectra™ ST flow material.
3.2.3 Cementation (light cured)
Before proceeding refer to above sections for Treatment of the restoration and Tooth conditioning/
dentin pre-treatment/adhesive application.
• Adhesives compatible with light cured, CQ initiated methacrylates are recommended.
• If restorations exceed 1.0 mm thickness, are heavily opaqued, or otherwise impede the trans-
mission of light, operator is urged to select Calibra
Cured cementation technique, mixing base with catalyst (available separately).
• Apply adhesive to the internal bonding surface of the restoration if directed by adhesive manu-
facturer's Directions for Use.
