MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

All maintenance and cleaning operations must be
performed with the stove stopped and cold.
15.1 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Prior to undertaking on any maintenance work the
following precautions must be taken:
• Make sure all parts of the stove are cold.
• Make sure the ashes are completely cold and not
burning.
• Use the individual protective gear as established by
the EEC directive 89/391.
• Always use the most appropriate maintenance tools.
• Once the maintenance or repair work is finished
reinstall all the protections and reactivate all the
safety devices before turning the stove back on.
15.2 CLEANING
The cleaning of the external part of the stove must be
executed only with a dry cloth not abrasive. Do not use
detergents.
15.2.1 Removing ashes from the fireplace
The stove requires simple but frequent and careful
cleaning to guarantee efficient performance and regular
operation at all times (
• Open the door;
• remove any coals and ashes from the fireplace using
a m etallic shovel;
• close the door;
15.2.2 CLEANING THE ASH BOX
The ash tray inside is large and easy to remove.
Open the lower panel.
Remove the ash drawer and clean with an ash vacuum.
After cleaning, insert the ash drawer back into place.
Before carrying out this operation, make sure that the
stove has cooled completely and make sure there are
no burning embers in the ash box.
Warning: the ash may contain hot coals even after several
hours.

15.2.3 Cleaning the glass

Clean with a damp cloth or with dampened paper which
has been dipped into the ashes (
Rub until the glass is clean.
Detergents for cleaning kitchen ovens may also be used.
Do not clean the glass while the stove is in use, and do
not use abrasive sponges.
Do not get the door gasket wet as it may deteriorate.
The ceramic glass great resistance to high
temperatures, but it is fragile, so DO NOT HIT
