TOOLS REQUIRED:
Trim Panel Remover, Philips Head,
Screwdriver Drill (3/32" Drill Bit), Test-probe
1. Locate the vehicle wiring inside the
vehicle's rear cargo area by partially
removing the plastic threshold cover
and felt trunk liner .

2. On the driver and passenger sides of the
vehicle, locate the vehicle's taillight wiring
harness . The taillight wiring harness

will have a connection point, on both sides,
matching the ends of the T-Connector.
Separate this connector, being careful not
to break the locking tabs. All connector
surfaces should be clean and free of dirt.
3. On the driver's side, attach the end of the
T-Connector containing the yellow and the
brown wires.
4. Route the connector containing the green
wire down the threshold to the passenger
side of the vehicle. Repeat step 3 for the
passenger's side using the T-Connector
containing the green wire.

5. Locate a suitable grounding point near
the connector.
Option 1:
Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area.
Drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white
wire using the eyelet and screw provided.
(Do not drill into vehicle floor or bed.
Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.)
Option 2:
Locate existing ground stud. Loosen
bolt, place screw eyelet on stud and
re-tighten bolt.
CAUTIOn
Verify what is behind any surface prior to
drilling to avoid damage to the vehicle and/
or personal injury. Do not drill into any
exposed surfaces.
WARnInG
All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer
once installed. For initial test, reset vehicle
electrical system by temporarily removing
the key from the ignition.
6. Locate a suitable mounting location inside
rear quarter panel on passenger side, and
clean area with 50/50 water/alcohol solution
where the converter will be mounted.
Mount the T-Connector black box using
double-sided tape provided.

7. Secure the remainder of the T-Connector
harness with the cable ties provided, to
prevent damage or rattling and being careful
to avoid any areas that would pinch, cut or
melt the wire.
nOTE
Store 4-Flat in rear cargo area when
not in use.
8. Reinstall felt trunk liner, threshold, and
other items removed during installation,
being careful not to pinch or cut the wires.
WARnInG
Overloading circuit can cause fires.
DO NOT exceed lower of towing
manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (7.5 amps)
