10 INSTALLATION
10.1 INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
Make sure the conditions of use are complied with as specified in paragraph 2, then proceed with the installation of the machine as
specified below.
Make sure that the unit is always under control before doing any type of work in the area of installation.
The controls must be positioned in such a way that the installed unit can be seen.
Risk of extremely serious injury!
A.
The surface supporting the unit must be flat, robust, stable and level.
B.
It is important for the unit to be installed on a structure that does not transmit appreciable vibrations. In any case, avoid
installing the unit on structures that can transmit or amplify noise (tanks, steel plating, etc.). The unit must always be installed
using vibration isolators:
C.
Connect the ducts using flexible sleeves without allowing the unit to support the weight of the piping; except for the filter if
there is air suction from the environment.
Regularly check that the unit's anchor points to the support structure are secured.
Excessive vibration of the unit may cause serious damage to the machine!
When using the blower for conveying biogas, methane or similar gases, the unit must be installed in the open air or where the air is
changed constantly so that any gas leaks are dispersed; conditions must not allow the accumulation of gas pockets.
In addition, ventilation of the motor must not be impeded by obstacles placed in the immediate vicinity.
The blower is designed up for the installation of control systems which must be set up by the installer for the purpose of monitoring
machine breakdowns which could produce possible sources of ignition:
D.
Vibration sensor (see §4.1.1 D)
E.
Pressure switch / vacuum switch (see §4.1.1 E)
F.
Thermostat (see §4.1.1 F)
The mechanical seal installed also requires the following operations:
G.
Refilling of the oil reservoir, as indicated below (see §4.1.2 G)
H.
Connection of the oil level sensor (see §4.1.2 H)
Depending on the type of installation (i.e. diagram 1, 2 or 3 at §.2.1) provide for the following:
-
a vent device in conformity with EN 1127-1 branching off from the suction pipe in the case of operation as a suction pump and
on the delivery pipe in the case of operation as a compressor in order to avoid overloads caused by pressure variations.
-
a flow-rate control and variation device with a bypass valve or equivalent system
-
a filter or filtration system for the fluid conveyed with maximum filtration grade 25 µm (See § 2.1).
Dimension the pipes and choose accessories that keep load losses to a minimum, therefore:
•
do not fit pipes with diameters smaller that of the machine's outlets and inlets
•
when installing a number of machines in parallel, dimension the manifold and the main line proportionately
•
do not use elbow joints, but bends with a large radius of curvature
