OPERATION

Telephone System performs the audio outdoor entry system functions. Furthermore it handles the
telephone line to dwelling and to telephone exchange. Therefore it must implement the hold on call.
When a call is received from the outdoor panel, system selects the corresponding pair of telephone
wires:
If telephone line is not being used, a distinctive ring is generated until the call is attended from
the dwelling or 30 seconds have elapsed.
If telephone line is being used, a tone is generated in telephone handset, indicating that there is
a call from outdoor panel on hold. When apartment telephone is replaced, it will ring until the call
is attended. Meanwhile telephone call is on hold. To recover telephone call you must press '4' in
the telephone of the dwelling.
When a conversation between dwelling and outdoor panel is placed and a telephone call is
received, the process is similar but call from outdoor panel is disconnected.
Once communication from outdoor panel to dwelling is placed:
The entry door can be opened by pressing '9' .
The Central Unit relays can be activated by pressing '3'. The two relay circuits toggle from
normally close (NC) to normally open (NO).

PROGRAMMING

Outdoor Pannel Programming

Depending on the Outdoor Pannel type we can find 3 options:
- ADS City Pannel(with pushbuttons): It is recommended to use it only when the apartments number
is very small. This type of pannels doesn't require to be programmed. You can find detailled
information of these pannels on the FERMAX technical documents code 94013 and 94022.
- ADS Direct Pannel (without display) and ADS Digital Pannel (with display). From 1 to 199
apartments. Using ADS Electronic Directory, call codes (from 0001 to 9999) can be assigned to
ADS codes (from 001 to 199). When a call code is dialled, the ADS Directory converts it into an
ADS code which is received by the Telephone System and identifies the telephone line to use. For
example, Telephone System installed in a building in which apartments are numbered such as first
digit matches floor number and second digit matches apartment number on the floor. These pannels
must be programmed; there is complete information about it on FERMAX tech info with code 94451.
