answers a telephone call. Such a function
is useful if FTDUO is connected in parallel
to other telephone sets, in this confi gura-
tion, when arrives a telephone call, the user
has a certain numbers of ringing to answer
the incoming call before that FTDUO will
automatically catch the line; for example if
the number of ringing before answering is
set to 5 (SQ=5), when a telephone call is
coming, FTDUO will answer only after the
5th ringing giving time to the user to answer
the call from another telephone set.
Stored number of ringing is unique for all
the 4 users U1, U2, U3, U4
To program automatic or manual answering
operate as follows:
1. With a telephone connected to the PABX,
call the extension to which the FTDUO is
connected, wait for the calling tone and
later for three short beeps;
2. dial the access code 888;
3. dial the programming code 62;
4. enter the number of rings SQ (from 0 to
9), the parameter is unique for all the 4
users U1, U2, U3, U4;
5. wait for three short beeps which confi rm
that the code has been accepted and
then hang-up the telephone or continue
with another programming;
6. if you get a short beep, followed by a long
beep it means that programming failed,
it is necessary to hang-up the telephone
and start again the procedure from point
1, after checking for the correctness of
the codes to be entered.
Delay time before answering an inter-
com call
(888-79-U-R)
When receiving an intercom call this func-
tion allows to program the delay time after
which FTDUO dials the telephone number
linked to the user U. This function is useful
when, in the same apartment, are installed
more intercoms or videointercoms, so, if
the user is in the apartment has the time to
answer from the conventional intercoms or
videointercoms the incoming intercom call,
whilst if he is absent, once the delay time,is
reached the incoming call is automatically
forwarded to the telephone number linked
to the user U.
A different delay time can be set for each
user U (U1, U2, U3, U4), ranging from 0 to
90 seconds, at 10 second intervals
To set delay time before answering, proceed
as follows:
1. With a telephone connected to the PABX,
call the extension to which the FTDUO is
connected, wait for the calling tone and
later for three short beeps;
2. dial the access code 888;
3. dial the programming code 79;
4. dial the number U of the user to be pro-
grammed (from 1 to 4);
5. enter the delay time R (from 0 to 9 where
0=no delay, 1=10 sec, 2=20 sec., 3= 30
- 8 -
sec. and so on);
6. wait for three short beeps which confi rm
that the code has been accepted and
then hang-up the telephone or continue
with another programming;
7. if you get a short beep, followed by a long
beep it means that programming failed,
it is necessary to hang-up the telephone
and start again the procedure from point
1, after checking for the correctness of
the codes to be entered.
Programming of additional commands
(888-77-U-T-C-DDD)
This function allows each user U to use the
keys T (from 0 to 9) of the telephone, to give
commands to the intercom system. The
ommands C that can be programmed are:
0= direct activation of additional relay
(art.2281) with address DDD;
4= door lock release of door station with
address DDD;
6= forced closure of a communication with
the door station with address DDD;
9= calling an user or a door station with
address DDD.
Commands are sent to the device with ad-
dress DDD. Commands can be activated
directly during an intercom communication
or after calling the FTDUO interface from
a telephone. To activate a command it is
necessary to dial, using the keypad of the
telephone, the number of the user U fol-
lowed by the number of the key T linked to
the command, followed by the # key.
For example if user U=1 linked the key T=2
of the phone with the command "door lock
release (C=4)" of the door station with ad-
dress DDD=231, the code to open the lock
will be 12#.
To program additional commands proceed
as follows:
1. With a telephone connected to the PABX,
call the extension to which the FTDUO is
connected, wait for the calling tone and
later for three short beeps;
2. dial the access code 888;
3. dial the programming code 77;
4. dial the number U of the user to be pro-
grammed (from 1 to 4);
5. press the key T (0-9) you want to use to
activate the command;
6. enter the number of the command C (0,
4, 6, 9) you wish to link with the key you
pressed previously;
7. enter the address of the device DDD
which will act on the command;
8. wait for three short beeps which confi rm
that the code has been accepted and
then hang-up the telephone or continue
with another programming;
9. if you get a short beep, followed by a long
beep it means that programming failed,
it is necessary to hang-up the telephone
and start again the procedure from point
1, after checking for the correctness of
the codes to be entered.
