T-Connector
Wiring Kit
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Fits: 2012 - 14 Ford Focus Sedan
Kit Includes:
(1) Wiring Harness (1) Ring Terminal
with 4-Flat Connector (1) Butt Terminal
(8) 6" Cable Ties (1) Fuse Holder
(1) 15" Cable Ties (1) 10 Amp Fuse

T-Connector Wiring Kit
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
2. Open trunk and remove floor covering. Remove foam
cargo trays that surround the spare tire. Remove two plastic
clips on each side shown in Figure 1. One is on the rear
threshold and the other on the interior panel. Remove
rear threshold by pulling up. Pull back felt trunk liner to
reveal vehicle' s taillight wiring harness. They will be similar
to those on the T-Connector. Separate vehicle connectors
taking care not to damage locking tabs. Inspect connectors
for dirt and debris and clean if necessary.
3. Starting on the drivers side place T-Connector ends
containing Yellow wires into separated vehicle' s connectors
until they lock into place shown in Figure 3. Pull on
connectors to ensure locks are engaged.
4. Locate a clean and accessible mounting location on vehicle
near T-Connector ends within reach of White wire and ring
terminal. Remove any debris or undercoating to expose a clean
metal surface and drill a 3/32" hole.
Caution: Do not drill into any exposed surfaces or through
the vehicle body.
5. Attach ring terminal on White wire using ground screw
provided.
Route T-Connector ends containing Red and Green wires

underneath drivers side trunk line along rear of vehicle
to passenger side under removed threshold. Repeat Step 3 for
connector plugging.
7. Route 4-flat connector through driver's side trim panel
into storage compartmenr when not in use. When in use
route 4-flat out rear trunk and close while avoiding any
areas that could cut, pinch or burn wires.
Disconnect the vehicle's Negative(-) battery cable.

9. Route the 12 gauge black wire from the battery
compartment under passenger side of vehicle along the brake
lines to the black converter box shown in Figure 4. Secure the
wire to the vehicle at each brake line holder using the cable ties
provided.
Caution: When routing wire through metal or other sharp
surfaces,always utilize an existing grommet, provide a
grommet or insulate the wire from the hole with silicone
rubber.
10. Strip 5/16" of the insulation from each end of the inline
fuseholder and attach the 3/8" ring terminal on one end using
a crimping tool.
11. On the other end of the fuseholder crimp yellow butt
connector and attach other side of butt connector to 12 gauge
black wire.

12. With the fuse removed, attach the 3/8" ring terminal to the
vehicles positive(+) battery terminal shown in
to the 12 gauge black wire.
Warning: Do not attempt to connect the black power wire to the
vehicle fuse panel or any other accessory wiring. Failure to
connect directly to the vehicle battery could cause vehicle
damage and/or trailer lighting failure.
13. At rear of the vehicle, strip 5/16" of insulation from the
Black 12 gauge wire and connect it to the butt connector on Red
wire on the tail light converter.
14. Reattach the vehicle Negative(-) battery wire.
15. Place the 10 amp fuse into the fuse holder installed in
Step 11.
16. Confirm correct operation with a test light or by using a
trailer.
17. Secure all wires using cable ties provided. The T-Connectors
black box should be secured on a clean flat surface or cable tie to
vehicle frame.
18. Reinstall any items removed during installation.

1. Lea las instrucciones a fondo antes de comenzar.
Trinquete de impulsión de las herramientas Required:(3/8, 3/8
extensión de la impulsión, zócalos 10m m 12m m, llaves
combinadas 10m m 12m m, destornillador pequeño,
herramienta de nylon del retiro o herramienta del retiro del
clip del plástico.
2. Abra la portilla posterior y quite ambos paneles laterales
expresados acceso del cableado situados en el área de cargo
del vehículo. Quite la pantalla de la aislamiento del área de
cargo, la placa posterior del umbral, y la cubierta de piso.
3. Separe parcialmente los paneles de ajuste interiores
posteriores en conductor y lado del pasajero del cuerpo del
vehículo. Varios sujetadores del panel necesitarán ser

quitados de la parte posterior del vehículo para exponer el

4. Comenzando por el lado de los conductores, desenchufe los
conectadores de la luz trasera que emparejan el montaje del
T-Conectador, mientras que el tener cuidado de no romper la
fijación tabula. Examine los conectadores para saber si hay
suciedad y ruina y limpie en caso de necesidad.Tape el T-
Conectador que contiene el alambre amarillo en los conecta
dores del arnés del vehículo hasta que se traban en lugar.
Tome el cuidado para no dañar las lengüetas de fijación.
5. Encamine el T-Conectador que contiene el alambre verde
debajo de la cubierta del umbral a la cubierta lateral de la luz
trasera del pasajero. Repita (step4) con los extremos del
T-Conectador que contienen el alambre verde.
6. Localice una posición apropiada respecto al marco del
vehículo para unir el alambre blanco que tiene el terminal del
anillo unido a él. Perfore un agujero del 3/32"y una el alambre
blanco de los T-Conectadores con el terminal del anillo al
vehículo usando el tornillo #10 proporcionado.
Precaución: No perfore en ninguna superficies expuesta o
a través del uerpo del vehículo.
7. Conectador de la ruta 4-Flat a través del panel de ajuste
lateral del conductor en el compartimiento lateral del
almacenaje cuando no en uso. Cuando en la ruta 4-Flat del uso
fuera de la portilla posterior y ciérrese mientras que evita
cualquier área que podría cortar, pellizcar o quemarse los
alambres.
8. Desconecte el cable negativo de la batería del vehículo (-).
9. Encamine el alambre negro de 12 galgas del compartimiento
de batería debajo del vehículo a lo largo del marco por el ojal
que fue utilizado para encaminar el conectador 4-flat (fig.3).
Asegure el alambre al vehículo usando las ataduras de cables
proporcionadas.
