INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
2. Open the vehicle's rear tailgate/trunk (where applicable)
and remove both the left (driver's) and right (passenger) side
tail light assemblies.
VANS AND SUV'S:
3. Remove the threshold trim along the rear doors/hatch and
carefully pull back the interior trim panels on each side of the
vehicle (Fig. 1).
ESCORT AND TRACER:
3. Carefully pull back the felt trunk liner on both the left
(driver's) and right (passenger) sides to expose the tail light
wiring harness grommets (Fig. 2). Remove the grommets
and slit each enough to allow the T-Connector wires to pass
through (Fig. 3).
F-150 PICKUPS:
3. From underneath the vehicle, locate the access holes on
each side of the vehicle leading to the tail light wiring harness
(Fig. 4).
ALL VEHICLES:
4. Beginning on the left (driver's) side, route the T-connector
ends out from inside or underneath the vehicle out to the
tail light assembly. Locate the CENTER Black vehicle wiring
harness connector on the back side of the tail light assembly.
The connectors will be similar to those on the T-Connector
harness. Separate the connector from the tail light by pressing
on the release tab and pulling the connector away from the tail
light housing. Take care not to damage the locking tabs. The
connectors should be clean and free of dirt or debris. Clean

the connectors if necessary.
5. Insert the T-Connector ends containing Yellow wires in
between the separated vehicle connectors, pressing firmly
together until they lock into place. Take care not to damage
the locking tabs.
6. Route the remaining portion of the T-Connector with the
Green wires to the right (passenger) side of the vehicle and up
or out through the opposite tail light opening. Route the 4-Flat
trailer connector to the center of the rear bumper and secure
in place with the cable ties provided.
Caution: Avoid any exhaust, hot pipes, heat shields, the
fuel tank or any other points that might pinch or damage
the wires. When routing wire through metal or other sharp
surfaces, always utilize an existing grommet, provide a
grommet or insulate the wire from the hole with silicone
rubber.
7. Repeat steps 4 & 5 for the right (passenger) side, using the
T-Connector ends with the Green wires.
8. Confirm trailer harness operation with a test light or by
using a properly equipped trailer.
Note: All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function.
9. Return the tail light assemblies and any trunk liners,
interior trim panels and threshold panel to their original
positions, using their factory fasteners.

1. Lea las instrucciones a fondo antes de comenzar.
2. Abra la puerta trasera trasera / maletero del vehículo
(en su caso) y retire la izquierda y la derecha (de pasajeros)
conjuntos luz de la cola lateral (del conductor).
VANS AND SUV'S:
3. Retire la moldura de umbral a lo largo de las puertas

(pasajero) para exponer los anillos del arnés de cableado de la
luz trasera (Fig. 2). Retire las arandelas y rajar cada suficiente
para permitir que los cables T-Connector para pasar a través
(Fig. 3).
F-150 PICKUPS:
3. Desde debajo del vehículo, localice los orificios de acceso
en cada lado del vehículo que conduce al mazo de cables de
la luz trasera (Fig. 4).
TODOS LOS VEHÍCULOS:
4. Comenzando en el lado izquierdo (del conductor), pase el
conector en T termina desde el interior o debajo del vehículo a
la asamblea de la luz trasera. Localice el conector del arnés de
cableado del vehículo CENTRO Negro en la parte posterior del
conjunto de la luz trasera. Los conectores serán similares a
los del arnés T-Connector. Separe el conector de la luz trasera
presionando la lengüeta de liberación y tirando del conector
de la cubierta de la luz de la cola. Tenga cuidado de no dañar
las lengüetas de fijación. Los conectores deben estar limpias
y libres de suciedad o residuos. Limpie los conectores si es
necesario.
5. Inserte el T-Connector extremos contiene cables amarillos
entre los conectores de vehículos separados, presionando
firmemente hasta que queden bloqueados en su lugar. Tenga
cuidado de no dañar las lengüetas de fijación.
6. Ruta de la porción restante de la T-conector con los cables
verdes a la derecha (pasajero) del vehículo y hacia arriba o
hacia fuera a través de la abertura de luz trasera opuesta.
Pase el conector del remolque 4-plana al centro de la defensa
trasera y seguro en su lugar con las ataduras de cables
proporcionadas.
Precaución: Evitar cualquier escape, tuberías calientes,
escudos de calor, el tanque de combustible o cualquier
otro punto que podría pellizcar o dañar los cables. Cuando
enrutamiento de alambre a través de otras superficies
afiladas de metal o, siempre utilizar un ojal existente,
proporcionar un ojal o aísle el cable desde el agujero con
caucho de silicona.
7. Repita los pasos 4 y 5 para el lado derecho (pasajero),
utilizando el T-Connector termina con los hilos verdes.
8. Confirme la operación del arnés de remolque con una luz
