Wiring Kit

Fits: 2004-2007 Chrysler Town & Country
2004-2007 Dodge Caravan
2004-2007 Dodge Grand Caravan
Kit Includes:
(1) T-Connector Harness
(3) 6" Cable Ties
(1) 15" Cable Tie
(1) Ground Screw
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
2. Open the vehicle's rear hatch and temporarily remove
the tail light assemblies by removing their fasteners and
pulling them directly away from the vehicle, taking care
not to damage any alignment tabs (Fig. 1). Locate the
black connector behind each tail light assembly, similar to
those found on the T-Connector Harness (Fig. 2). Slide the
red connector lock sideways and disconnect the vehicle
harness from the tail light assembly by pressing down on
the connector's locking tab and carefully pulling apart. The
connectors should be clean and free of dirt or debris. Clean
the connectors if necessary.
3. Beginning on the left (drivers) side, carefully pull the
vehicle wiring harness and the rubber grommet out a short
distance. Plug the matching T-Connector harness end with
the yellow wire between the tail light assembly and the vehicle
connector removed in step 2. Secure the connectors together
with the red locking tabs.
4. Using a utility knife, carefully slit the grommet as indicated
(Fig. 3) from the hole for the tail light wiring harness to the
outside edge of the grommet. Carefully cut away the tabs that
connect the grommet to the wires.
Caution: Take care not to damage the vehicle wiring
harness while cutting the grommet.
5. Remove the vehicle Jack storage cover located inside
the rear of the vehicle on the left (driver's) side trim panel
to expose the storage area behind. It may be necessary
to remove the tape covering the access hole between the
jack storage compartment and the area behind the tail light
assembly.
6. Route the 4-flat plug on the T-Connector harness into the
vehicle through the hole for the tail light wiring harness and
into the jack storage compartment. Push the T-Connectors
black box and additional wiring in through the tail light wiring
hole. Reposition the tape removed in step 5 over the wires to
seal the jack compartment.
7. Route the T-Connector ends containing the Green wire to
the right (passenger) side tail light assembly.
Caution: Avoid any exhaust, hot pipes, heat shields, the
fuel tank or any other points that might pinch or damage
the wires. When routing wire through metal or other sharp
surfaces, always utilize an existing grommet, provide a
grommet or insulate the wire from the hole with silicone
rubber.
8. Position the left (drivers) side rubber grommet over the
T-Connector harness and carefully position all the wiring
inside the vehicle behind the grommet. Seat the grommet into
its mounting hole.
9. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for the right (passenger) side,
using the T-Connector ends containing the Green wire.
10. Locate a clean accessible mounting location on the

vehicle within reach of the white wire and drill a 3/32" hole.
Caution: Take care not to drill through the body or any
exposed surface.
11. Mount the white wire using the ground screw and ring
terminal provided.
12. Repeat Step 8 for the right (passenger) side of the vehicle.
13. Confirm trailer harness operation with a test light or by
using a properly equipped trailer.
Note: All connections must be complete for the
T-Connector to function.
14. Return the tail light assemblies to their original positions
and secure with the fasteners removed in step 2. Secure the
black box with cable ties (provided). Replace the jack storage
cover and any other trim removed during installation.
15. Secure any additional harness wire behind the bumper
using cable ties (provided). The 4-flat connector can be stored
in the jack storage compartment when not in use.

INSTRUCCIONES DE INSTALACIÓN
1. Lea las instrucciones a fondo antes de comenzar.
2. Abra el portón trasero del vehículo y eliminar
temporalmente los sistemas de iluminación trasero
extrayendo sus sujetadores y tirando de ellos directamente
fuera del vehículo, teniendo cuidado de no dañar las lengüetas
de alineación (Fig. 1). Localice el conector negro detrás de
cada grupo óptico trasero, similares a los encontrados en el
T-Conector del arnés (Fig. 2). Deslice el bloqueo del conector
rojo de lado y desconecte el arnés del vehículo desde el
conjunto de la luz trasera presionando hacia abajo el conector
lengüeta de fijación y tirando cuidadosamente separados.
Los conectores deben estar limpias y libres de suciedad o
residuos. Limpie los conectores si es necesario.
3. Comenzando en el lado izquierdo (conductores), tire con
cuidado del arnés de cables del vehículo y la arandela de
caucho a cabo una corta distancia. Enchufe el T-Connector
final arnés a juego con el cable amarillo entre el conjunto de
la luz trasera y el conector del vehículo retirado en el paso 2.
Asegure los conectores junto con las lengüetas de bloqueo
rojos.
4. Utilizando un cuchillo, corte cuidadosamente el ojal
como se indica (Fig. 3) desde el orificio para el arnés de
cableado luz de la cola hasta el borde exterior de la arandela.
Cuidadosamente cortar las lengüetas que conectan el ojal a
los cables.
Precaución: Tenga cuidado de no dañar el arnés de
cableado del vehículo mientras se corta el ojal.
5. Retire la tapa de almacenamiento Jack vehículo situado
dentro de la parte trasera del vehículo a la izquierda
revestimiento lateral (del conductor) para exponer el área de
almacenamiento detrás. Puede ser necesario quitar la cinta
que cubre el orificio de acceso entre el compartimiento del
gato y el área detrás del conjunto de la luz trasera.
6. Pase el conector de 4 planos en el arnés T-Connector en
el vehículo a través del agujero para el mazo de cables de la
luz trasera y en el compartimiento del gato. Empuje la caja de
negro T-conectores y cableado adicional a través del orificio
de cableado de la luz trasera. Vuelva a colocar la cinta retiró

en el paso 5 en los cables para sellar el compartimiento jack.
7. Pase el T-Connector termina contiene el cable verde a la
asamblea de la luz trasera del lado derecho (pasajero).
Precaución: Evitar cualquier escape, tuberías calientes,
escudos de calor, el tanque de combustible o cualquier
otro punto que podría pellizcar o dañar los cables. Cuando
el enrutamiento de alambre a través de otras superficies
afiladas de metal o, siempre utilizar un ojal existente,
proporcionar un ojal o aísle el cable desde el agujero con
caucho de silicona.
8. Coloque la izquierda (drivers) arandela de goma lateral
sobre el arnés T-Connector y coloque cuidadosamente todo el
cableado interior del vehículo detrás de la arandela. Asiente la
arandela en su orificio de montaje.
9. Repita los pasos 2 a 4 para el lado derecho (pasajero),
utilizando la T-Connector extremos que contiene el cable
verde.
10. Busque un lugar limpio y accesible en el vehículo dentro
del alcance del alambre blanco y taladrar un agujero de 3/32".
Precaución: Tenga cuidado de no perforar a través del
cuerpo o cualquier superficie expuesta.
11. Monte el cable blanco usando el tornillo de tierra y el
terminal de anillo proporcionado.
12. Repita el paso 8 para el lado derecho (pasajero) del
vehículo.
13. Confirme la operación del arnés del acoplado con una luz
de prueba o usando un acoplado correctamente equipado.
Nota: Todas las conexiones deben estar completos para el
T-Connector funcione.
14. Devuelve los sistemas de iluminación de cola a sus
posiciones originales y seguro con los sujetadores que se
removieron en el paso 2. Asegure la caja de negro con las
ataduras de cables (incluidos). Vuelva a colocar la cubierta
de almacenamiento gato y cualquier otro ajuste eliminado
durante la instalación.
15. Asegure cualquier mazo de cables adicional detrás
de las pegatinas para el uso de las ataduras de cables
(incluidos). El conector de 4 plana puede ser almacenado en
el compartimiento del gato cuando no esté en uso.
