Operation
WARNING: Do not let the plug fall in water and do not stand in water while the pump is plugged in. The pump will start operating when
the power cord is plugged into the outlet.
IMPORTANT: Unwind the garden hose completely. Kinks in the hose will restrict the pump, preventing it from priming, which is the
first step to pumping water. The water level must be at 1-1/2 in. for the pump to prime and operate.
□ Plug the pump into a 115V GFCI power outlet.
□
Unplug from power source immediately when finished pumping. Do not run dry.
□
To avoid airlock, pump should be sufficiently submerged in water before starting.
If not pumping, tilt pump to release
vertical orientation.
Note: If discharge hose is too long, the flow will be smaller than you expected.
Care and Cleaning
Periodically unplug the pump, making certain your hands are dry, and you are not standing in water. When the
power is disconnected, inspect the pump inlets and remove all debris, then plug the pump back into the grounded
(GFCI) outlet.
To clear a pump clogged with debris:
1.
Unplug the pump from electrical power.
2.
Unscrew the screws (6), and remove the
base (5).
3.
Unscrew the screws (4), and remove the
volute (3), and the seal gasket (2).
4.
Remove debris from around the shaft (1) and
on/under the impeller.
5.
Reassemble the pump.
NOTE: Motor housing is sealed containing cooling oil.
Do not open motor housing.
Once primed, pump can remove
water down to 1/2 in. before
losing suction.
Install the pump on a firm, level base. Avoid pumping mud, rocks and debris.
