Monitoring – Base
You can listen in on the incoming call via the base station by setting the cor-
responding function.
If you select the "Off" option under "Monitoring – Base", you will not be
able to hear the message whilst it is being recorded.

Listening to a recorded announcement

A default announcement is available for every answering mode (see above).
This is how to play back the answers:
 In the "Answering machine" menu, select "Announcements", and in
the sub-menu select "Play back announcement"; confirm with
"OK".
 Select the "With recording" or "Without recording" option and confirm
with "OK".
 Select "Play back message" and confirm with "OK".

Recording an announcement

You can record an announcement for every answering mode (see above).
These announcements can be up to one minute long.
 Call up the "Set announcement" menu. Select the "With recording" or
"Without recording" option and confirm with "OK".
 Select "Record" and confirm with "OK".
You are now prompted to make your announcement after the acoustic sig-
nal.
 Speak into the handset microphone at normal speaking volume.
 Confirm with "OK".
For checking purposes, your announcement will be repeated at the end of
the recording.
