3.2 Preparing for use / Device use
Workplace of the device:
The ambient temperature must not exceed 45 ° C and
the relative humidity should not exceed 85%. Only use
the device in well-ventilated areas. Do not obstruct the
air outlet of the device. Keep the device away from any
hot surfaces. The device must always be used on an even,
stable, clean, fire-proof and dry surface and out of the reach
of children and the mentally ill persons. The workplace of
the device should provide immediate access to the valve
that disables the compressed air supply. Make sure that the
pressure of the air supplying the device does not exceed
the recommended range.
Operating
1.
Unscrew the wing screws of the cover clamps,
remove the clamps, and then remove the cover
together with the rest of the elements fastened on it
(there is no need to disassemble them).
2.
Put the grease into the tank.Fill the tank in 70-80%
with grease, so that you can place the mechanism
for pressing the grease into it. When applying
grease, try to spread it evenly in the tank and to
avoid creation of air-filled spaces. It is necessary
to use the grease in the device. The type of grease
used depends on the season:
NLGI 0 ~ 1 – winter period
NLGI 2 – spring and autumn period
NLGI 2 ~ 3 – summer period.
The use of contaminated grease is forbidden.
Impurities will cause clogging of the conduits
pumping the grease, gun nozzles, etc., which will
14
lead to malfunctioning of the device and even its
failure.
3.
Install the cover by placing it on the tank and
paying attention so that the pressing disk will
contact horizontally with the grease and the suction
tube will be centrally located in the grease. Fasten
the cover by installing the clamps and tightening
them with the wing screws. Verify whether the cover
has been correctly installed and there are no gaps
between it and the tank.
4.
Screw the gun hose to the gun connection,
removing the plugs beforehand. Ensure that the
hose with the grease gun and the remaining input
and output connectors are tightly screwed. If leaks
of air or grease appear after switching on the
device, it is necessary to remove all the leaks.
5.
Connect the compressed air supply hose to the
air inlet in the device by means of the quick
connectors.
6.
Turn on the air-compressing device (not supplied
with the product) so that it will deliver the air under
the pressure of 6 ~ 8 bar.
7.
Dispense the lubricant by pressing the trigger of the
dispensing gun. At the first use, the grease will only
come out of the gun only after a while (the time
during which the hoses will be filled with grease).
After the end of working with the device, turn off
the supply source, disconnect the supply source of
the compressed air from the device and by pressing
the gun trigger, empty the system from grease
under pressure which will extend the lifetime of the
high pressure hoses. Note: It is forbidden to switch
the device on if the grease tank is empty. If the
device is not in use, it is necessary to disconnect the
quick connector and to lower the pressure in the
tank by unlocking the gun.
Transportation
In the case of transporting the lubricator to short distances
in a vertical position, it is necessary use the wheels mounted
at the base of the device and the handle.
In models with two wheels, it is necessary to gently tilt the
device y, while in a model with four wheels it is enough to
move the device on the plane.
It is not needed to empty the grease tank for the time of
this type of transport.
Before transporting over long distances, the grease tank
must be emptied and transported in a separate container.
Carefully protect the device against shocks and accidental
damage during transport. It is also recommended to
dismantle the connection hoses and the gun.
4. Cleaning and maintenance
Before each cleaning or maintenance action and
if the device is not being used, it is necessary to
disconnect the pressure line, to equalize the pressure
in the device with atmospheric pressure and to
completely cool the device.
Before each use of the device, it is necessary to check
if the device is fully functional.
After every device use, it is necessary to equalize
the pressure existing in the tanks of the device with
atmospheric pressure, to carefully clean the device
and to set it in a safe place.
Use cleaners without corrosive substances to clean
each surface.
Rev. 20.06.2018
Dry all parts well after cleaning before the device is
used again.
Lubricate the piston pump regularly using the
lubricant designated for maintenance of pneumatic
equipment.
Regularly clean the gun and the hose delivering the
grease.
Before starting storage, always empty the grease
tank and clean it thoroughly, as well as clean the
pump housing and the hoses using preparations
designed to cleaning the grease from mechanical
components. After cleaning, dry the device. Store
the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture and
direct exposure to sunlight.
