Quick Network Setup (Static IP)
Prerequisites for Manual Setup of Network Using Static IP Address
Note
On startup, the WorkCentre multifunction device defaults to DHCP to obtain its
network configurations, so DHCP must be turned off on the device by manually
entering a static IP address.
Before configuring the device, record the following information for use during setup:
TCP/IP Address:
Gateway Address:
Subnet Mask:
DNS Server Address:
Note
To obtain this information, contact your System Administrator.
Procedure for Manual Setup of Network Using Static IP Address
1.
Power on the device.
2.
Press Login/Logout, then type the UserID 11111 and press Confirm.
3.
From the System Administrator menu, select System Settings.
4.
Select System Settings.
5.
Select Network Settings.
6.
Select Protocol Settings.
7.
Select TCP/IP - Get IP Address, and then press Change Settings.
8.
Select the Manual method for establishing an IP address, and then select Save.
9.
Select TCP/IP - IP Address, and then press Change Settings.
10.
Use the keypad to type the IP Address for the machine in the format xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.
Type relevant values (0 to 255) into the highlighted field and select Next. The next
three digits are highlighted. When you have finished typing all values, select Save.
11.
Select TCP/IP - Subnet Mask, and then Change Settings.
12.
Using the same method as in step 10, type the Subnet Mask.
13.
Select TCP/IP - Gateway Address, and then press Change Settings.
14.
Using the same method as in step 10, type the Gateway Address.
Note
Type 0.0.0.0 if you do not wish to set the Gateway Address.
