• Insert the red safety plug into the «+» terminal on the

multimeter.
• Insert the black safety plug into the «COM» terminal on the multimeter.
• Turn the selector on the multimeter to «V», the voltmeter position.

jaws showing the standard current direction.

«~» sign has to be displayed on the screen with the «
/~» button.

Read the actual current on the multimeter screen passing through the wire being
tested
. When the «-» sign appears in front of the value displayed, the
(1mV=1A)
direction of the current passing through the test wire does not match the indicator
arrow on the clip, so reverse it. With the
711
multimeter, you can store the
minimum or maximum current value on the display with the MIN/MAX button.
