Note: Milk and food heat up faster in the storage cups than in standard feeding bottles/containers.
Be aware that heating up milk and food in storage cups therefore takes less time
3 Remove the screw ring and sealing disc from the bottle or remove the lid from the storage cup.
4 If you are using a storage cup, screw the adapter onto the cup.
5 Screw a sterilized screw ring with sterilized nipple onto the bottle or onto the storage cup with adapter.
Do's
- Always check the temperature of the milk before you feed it to your baby.
- Always discard any breast milk that is left over at the end of a feed.
Don'ts
- Never heat milk in a microwave, as this can cause uneven heating, which can lead to hot spots
in the milk. It may also destroy nutrients in the milk.
Cleaning and sterilizing
Caution: Wash your hands thoroughly before you touch sterilized items and make sure the
surfaces on which you place sterilized items are clean.
Breast pump
Clean and sterilize all parts of the breast pump before first use. Clean all parts after each
subsequent use and sterilize all parts before each subsequent use.
1 Disassemble the breast pump completely. Also remove the white valve.
Be careful when you remove the white valve and when you clean it. If it gets damaged, your
breast pump does not function properly. To remove the white valve, gently pull at the ribbed tab
on the side of the valve.
2 Clean all parts in hot water with some mild dishwashing liquid and then rinse them
thoroughly. You can also clean the parts in the dishwasher (on the top rack only).
To clean the valve, rub it gently between your fingers in warm water with some dishwashing
liquid. Do not insert objects into the valve, as this may cause damage.
3 Sterilize all parts in a Philips AVENT steam sterilizer or by boiling them for 5 minutes.
Philips AVENT storage cups (SCF330/13 only) and Natural bottle (all other
SCF330 types)
1 After each use, clean the parts with water and some dishwashing liquid or in the dishwasher.
The bottle and storage cups are dishwasher-safe. Clean them on the top rack of the dishwasher. Do
not put any other objects on top of the them.
Note: Do not use abrasive or antibacterial cleaning agents.
Note: Excessive concentrations of cleaning agents may eventually cause plastic parts to crack. Should this
occur, replace the cracked part immediately.
Note: Food colorings may discolor parts.
2 Sterilize the parts before you use them again with a Philips AVENT sterilizer or by boiling
them for 5 minutes.
Note: Philips AVENT storage cups and bottles are suitable for all methods of sterilization.
