Very effective cleaning method.
Leaves a small layer of solder on the tip preventing
oxidation between cleaning and rewetting.

Tip Wipe
Sponge

The least harmful cleaning method.
Keep the sponge damp with distilled water to prevent
tip wear.
Tapping:
Tap gently to eliminate excess solder.

When used carefully,
it provides a more
thorough cleaning.
Wiping:
Use the slots to wipe off any remaining
particles.
Changing cartridge
Turn the station off and follow these guidelines for a safe cartridge change:
1. Removing
Loosen the screw to remove the cartridge.
Use a flat nosed pliers if the cartridge is hot.
3. Aligning
Alignment
Use a flat nosed pliers for a correct alignment.

2. Inserting
Mark
Important: Insert the cartridge to the mark
for a proper connection.
4. Fixing
Important: Tighten the screw. This is
necessary for the tool to function.
Be careful not to over-tighten the screw.
