CONNECTING A HEADSET OR EARPIECE:
The connection for an external headset or earpiece is located on the
right side of the radiophone, underneath the rubber cover. When con-
nected, the built-in microphone en speaker of the radiophone will be
switched off.
Receiving:
As soon as your radiophone receives a signal, the sound will be repro-
duced through the speaker in the headset or through the earpiece.
Rotate the volume button on the radiophone to adjust the volume
Transmitting:
To talk back, press the PTT send button on the left side of your radio-
phone. You can also activate the VOX function, to automatically turn
on the send function when talking.

VOX FUNCTION:

When you activate the VOX function (VOX = Voice Activated Trans-
mission), the FR-58 will start transmitting as soon as you talk into the
microphone.
4x
'OFF' means off
'1' is the lowest sensitivity
'3' is the most sensitive

EXTRA FUNCTIONS

press the M button 4x, the word 'VOX' will
appear
use the
sensitivity for activation
('OFF' means off, '1' is the lowest sensitivity,
'3' is the most sensitive)
press the PTT button to confirm
and buttons to select the
