The test or measurement is started by pressing the "TEST" key (1).
Now, the instrument subsequently scans the shielding for each individual
conductor. If the cable is in order, the display "SH" and "OK" appears first in
the 14-segment display (4) for the shielding, then "1" for correct detection
of the coding plug, and additionally, all green LEDs (3) are illuminated one
after the other. If one or several red LEDs (2) are illuminated, this indicates
incorrect wiring or defective cable.
After completion of measurement, the test instrument switches off automati-
cally.
The following examples show the different wiring or
wiring errors with the pertinent error indication including the error code.
