USING YOUR NEBULIZER
Before the first use of the nebulizer or if the unit has not been
used for an extended period of time, it should be cleaned
thoroughly as described in the Cleaning and Disinfection
section of this manual.
The patient receiving treatment should be in a comfortable
seated or slightly reclining position as treatments take several
minutes.
1. Determine your power option and mouthpiece/mask style
selection and gather your parts prior to starting the
treatment.
2. Attach your selected power source.
3. Remove the clear nebulizer cover, Fig 1. Remove the
medication cup if one is in place.
4. Fill the water reservoir with either tap or distilled water to
the indicated level between the two lines within the
reservoir, Fig 2. Use fresh water for every treatment.
Note: The recommended water temperature range is
68°F–104°F/20°C–40°C
The use of cool water (below 68°F/20°C) will result in a
lower rate of nebulization.
The use of warm water (above 104°F/40°C) will result in a
higher rate of nebulization.
