ENGINE: - ROBIN SUBARU EX17 169 cc 5HP (@ 3600 r.p.m.) one-cylinder petrol.
- KOHLER SH265 196 cc 5,5HP (@ 3600 r.p.m.) one-cylinder petrol.
STARTER: recoil starter.
FUEL TANK: 3,6 Litres (EX17/SH265).
GEARBOX: gears in oil bath with 2 gears, 1 forward gear + 1 reverse gear.
P.T.O: at 644 r.p.m. in anticlockwise rotation.
SAFETY DEVICE: active coupling and automatic disengagement of the tiller in reverse gear.
HANDLEBAR: height-adjustable.
ATTACHMENTS QUICK COUPLING: Ø 50 mm.
ROTARY TILLER: standard 500 mm with contra-rotating tines and adjustable side discs.
WORKING DEPTH: 130 mm.
SPEED WITH 4.00-8 WHEELS: forward gear 1,6 km/h – reverse gear 2,5 km/h.

1) Make sure that the machine has not been damaged in transit
2) Lift up the mudguards over the wheels (fig. 1)
3) Remove the two screws (fig. 1, pos. A).
4) Turn the handlebar by 180°, replace the two fixing screws and tighten the nuts (fig. 1, pos. A). Pay
attention not to bend the steering cables.
5) Fix the handle adjuster lever, pay attention to the stops (fig. 1B).
6) Fill the engine with oil (refer to relevant engine handbook).
7) Check the oil into the gearbox (BLASIA 220 oil - fig. 4, ref. B).
8) Connect the tiller to the quick coupling and fix it using the pin provided (fig. 1D).
9) Add oil into the oil-bath air filter (for versions equipped with oil-bath filter). Use engine oil (fig. 5)
Before starting the engine check that:

all screws and nut are well-tightened

the reversing device lever on gearbox housing is on the right position (fig. 4, pos. A).

the attachments engaging lever (fig. 2, no. 3) is in idle position (fig. 3 - STOP)

the air filter is clean (fig. 5 – fig. 6)

fill the tank using a funnel with a very fine filter

the attachments are properly fixed to the machine (fig. 1D)

adjust handlebar height (fig. 2, no. 4)
HOW TO START THE ENGINE
Open the fuel tap (fig. 7 no. 2), push the gas control lever halfway (fig. 2 no. 5). If the engine is cold
operate the starter device on the carburettor (fig. 7, no.1) choke position (please refer to the relevant
engine manual). Grip the starting handle (fig. 8, ref. A) and jerk strongly. When the engine has started it is
necessary to set the starting device back to the "RUN" position. Then set the gas lever to the minimum.
